Tenth Team CSC Victory for Haedo
[02.03 18:12] This Sunday for the first time ever Juan José Haedo won a professional race in his “second home country” of Spain, where he lives now and this was also his tenth victory with Team CSC. The Argentinean sprinter crossed the finish line first in Clasica Almeria, which was decided in a bunch sprint. It was his fourth win in this season. "JJ was a bit unsure to start with, whether he had the strength to do the sprint, because there were a couple of climbs halfway through the race. But after he'd done them the whole team stepped up and worked really hard for him," explained sports director Dan Frost after the race and continued: "Bradley McGee helped JJ to the sprint at the very end and when Rabobank entered the scene with Oscar Freire and Graeme Brown, JJ managed the last bit to perfection himself. We can definitely tell that Haedo has become stronger this year. I think he'll win a lot in 2008. And this also gives us a great morality boost ahead of Vuelta Ciclista a Murcia," concluded the Spanish sports director.
