Kirchen Took Second Stage
[08.04 17:11] The second stage of Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco resulted in a victory to High Road's Kim Kirchen, who beat World Champ Paolo Bettini (Quick Step) in the sprint, which decided the 153-kilometer stage from Legazpi to Erandio.
"It was a quiet day for us. Of course we would've liked to be in a break, but those who got away escaped on a descent and we didn't make it. There will be other opportunities later on, but as this particular stage turned out it was a neutral, pretty uneventful day for us, but everybody's still feeling positive though," said sports director Kim Andersen.
