Team Saxo Bank’s Nick Nuyens was among the best on today’s climb, but on the downhill, the strong Belgian crashed:
“Nick (Nuyens) was really riding the climb, but on the downhill the front wheel slipped under him, so he hit the traffic heel with his hip first. He is currently in the hospital to be examined, ”says sports director Tristan Hoffman.
Team Saxo Bank’s Juan Jose Haedo was affected by illness shortly before the race and has therefore been replaced by teammate, Anders Lund.
